Sacar a.k.a Lil Buddha just dropped the first music video from his upcoming album Shree 5, and it’s freaking 10 minutes long. Titled, King of NEPHOP, the song which features Utsaha Joshi better known as Uniq Poet, his stage name and talks about everyday issues of Nepalese alike. The video was released on YouTube on 12th Jan, 2019 and already has 807k (while reporting) views, 65k likes and currently number 3 on YouTube trending list.
The concept of the video is really simple but very creative. The whole video looks like a single shot and gives a vibe that the song is a freestyle hip-hop track. The Track contains both Nepali and English verses, quelled by English lyrics. In the initial verses, the artist seems to express deep displeasure and disappointment on the government system and politician and youth might concede with the anger. However, the explicit language used, might not be appropriate to take up for the formal conversation.
Sacar rose to fame when he started battling in Raw Barz, the official rap battle of Nepal in 2013. Later, he released few hits like Nepali KT, etc. This is Sacar’s come back album after recovering from mental health issues he suffered from, during his stay in Australia. According to the king of nephop dot com website, the album Shree 5 is available for pre-order on the website and also, Sacar will go on all-Nepal-tour after the release of the album and below are the dates confirmed on the website:
