Buddha Air is one of the most famous and reputed domestic airliner with a long history of clean track record in Nepal. Buddha Air started it's operation by flying a brand new Beech craft 1900 D aircraft on 11th October 1997 with Tribhuvan International Airport as it's main hub and the first fight it did was a mountain flight with 16 passengers. Currently, Buddha Air has two 19 passengers Beech craft 1900Ds, three 47 passenger ATR 32s and six 72 passengers ATR 72s aircraft and flies 11 destination inside Nepal and one outside [Varanasi, India]. Buddha air is the only private airline with a state of the art, closed door aircraft hangar in Tribhuvan International Airport which can accommodate an Airbus 320 or Boeing 737 in the 15500 square feet ground floor area. With Kolkata added to it's destination from April, Buddha Air will become the first privately owned Nepali domestic carrier to start international flights to Kolkata apart from state owned Nepal Airlines.

[Update] On 13th Feb, Buddha Air announced that the two way flight will cost around NRs 24,000 and it will start 3 weekly flights from 15th April, 2019. Check out the official Facebook post below:
