Never Felt A Nepal Movie Teaser/Trailer So Good!

It's 2019 and filmmakers are doing everything they could to keep the hush about the plot line or at least the shock value and plot twist of their movie, so that, they could delivery the excitement and surprises in the story line itself when the viewer watches it. This is absolute true with Hollywood flicks and specially Marvel Studios is known of its notorious ways to make sure their secrets are kept. Movie Teasers and Trailer are one of them. Marvel recently did same with Avengers: Infinity War. It released misleading trailer with scenes that did not appear in the movie but a different scene which maintained the shock among the movie goers and created a buzz so that people will still talk about it.

But, we are not here to discuss about any Hollywood movie today. We are here to talk about recently released teaser trailer for a Nepali movie, Jatrai Jatra, a follow up to 2016 movie Jatra. Jatrai Jatra is directed by Pradeep Bhattarai, who directed the first one as well and follows the characters Phadindra, Munna and Jayas after the events of Jatra. However, official plot is not disclosed yet.

In the trailer, we see that all three leads are running away from some situation and finally decides to group suicide. In order to do so, they climb one of the tallest under construction building in Kathmandu and jumps off. Later it is revealed that all the three are caught on a net set up by unknown character played by Dayahang Rai and the trailer ends right there. Take a look at this teaser trailer here:

This teaser trailer did successfully set up what Hollywood trailers do for their respective movies, a genuine wish to watch the movie. This trailer does not spills the beans on the plot like most of the teasers and trailer do in Nepali scene. It does reveals so much that we would be interested but not too much. In the western world, trailer plays a vital role in how the movie does in the box office. But the makers in Nepal, do not give much attention to these trailers. With this trailer, it looks like the trend in our society is also changing and that's for better.

This trailer was initially released on 10th Nov 2018 on Shatkon Digital's YouTube channel with release date 1st March, 2019. Nonetheless, the release date later shifted to 17th May 2019 and the teaser reappeared on distributor OSR Digital's YouTube page with new release date on 9th of April.

Well, we are very impressed by how the teaser trailer is subtle and does not provide us much about the plot. However, it does make you eager-ed to wait it's release.
